About Me
I believe that life is meant to be filled with experiences.
I feel most free when I’m traveling. I feel like a kid again; everything around me is brand new and beautiful and incredible. Seeing a new place fills me with awe, excitement, and wonder.
I adore hiking and spending time in outdoors. There is so much peace to be found in nature.
I spent most of my life in Kansas, dreaming of traveling the world. I was very much the insufferable “One day I’ll get out of this town” type. As I got older, I realized that Kansas is actually not that bad, but I still craved a life filled with travel and adventure.
I dreamt of beaches, European cities, mountaintop views, and everything I had heard about or seen on Instagram.
At 22 years old, I moved to Phoenix, AZ and fell in love with the warm weather, hiking, and sunshine in the valley.
But, for years I had dreamt of living in Spain, immersing myself in Spanish language and culture. So, I found a program, packed my bags, and now I’m doing exactly that! I am currently an auxiliar in Córdoba, Spain, where I help kids in primary school learn English.
Currently, I’m making my way across Spain, trying to see as much of it as possible before the school year ends! I am also taking advantage of the opportunity to explore Europe while I’m here.
So far, I’ve explored:
20 states (and lived in 6 of them)
22 USA National Parks
7 countries (and lived in 2)
And I have a million more places on my list!
When I’m not traveling, I’m…
playing music, singing, crafting with friends, on a picnic, at a concert, or doing really anything to connect me to the world around me and take in the present moment.
Why Earthen Fairy?
Why not have a little fun? I love fantasy books and mythical creatures. I love the idea of being a faerie, flitting around the world on my wings. I’m a Taurus, which is an Earth sign, and I find it so important to connect with the earth around me, no matter where I am.
The world is so beautiful, and we should all be appreciating it every chance we get! So stick your toes in the mud, stare up at the sky, throw your arms up, and twirl in a circle! Whimsy makes the world go round!
